The Can’t I Just…? collection gives educators, counselors, librarians, and other professionals practical resources for helping students navigate the questions they’re already asking.

What am I good at? What happens after graduation? Do I have to go to college? Why does everyone else seem better at handling stuff than I am? What if I made a mistake? How do I make friends? What if I don’t know what I want yet?

The books and resources cover career exploration, college and alternatives, life skills, confidence, communication, friendship and connection, resilience, decision-making, hobbies and interests, and preparing for adulthood.

For different ages and stages

The collection includes resources for younger readers, teens, young adults, and parents and educators helping young people find their way.

Many of these questions cross age boundaries, so a book or resource may be useful to students at more than one age or stage.

Rather than starting with a rigid age category, start with the question your student is asking.
